The Solar System is like a big space family! At the center is the Sun, a huge, hot ball of fire that gives light, warmth, and energy. All the planets, moons, and even tiny asteroids move around the Sun.

Neptune

Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun and is deep blue because of methane in its atmosphere. It is very cold and very far away.

Neptune has the fastest winds in the Solar System, blowing up to 1,200 miles per hour!

Fun fact

Neptune has a faint ring system, just like Saturn, but much harder to see.

Parent tip

Neptune is far and very windy. Fill a bottle with water and swirl it to mimic Neptune’s storms, teaching about weather and strong winds on planets.
